Also, can we stop spreading this misconception about FGM being “Islamic”? It’s a cultural practice that happens mainly in Africa. Majority of the Muslim world does not even practice this and nowhere in the Qur'an says this is obligatory for females to get circumcised. Whatever other issues you have about Islam, that’s your opinion but do not mislead people.
Fgm is still a thing. And many of the countries that practice have large Muslim populations. No not all Muslims should be painted with one brush, buts it’s still a problem. Of course fgm isn’t just an Islam problem it’s a religion problem. Christians are guilty too. Religion has always been used to control women and their bodies.
